Rachel Adler Rosan has over 25 years of experience in the Post-War and 20th Century and Contemporary art markets.
Prior to founding Rosan Art Valuations, Rachel was Senior Director of Fine Art at Gurr Johns, Inc., a leading private appraisal company, where she valued between $500M and $1B worth of art annually for estate tax, charitable donation, and insurance purposes. Rachel also appraised art for collateral loans, and has considerable expertise appraising artists estates.
Before joining Gurr Johns, Rachel was Senior Specialist and Head of Appraisals for 20th Century & Contemporary Art at Phillips auction house for seven years. Rachel was Vice President of Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s previously.
In her current role as Director of Rosan Art Valuations for Cromwell Art, Rachel continues to provide expert appraisals and consult on valuations for auction and private art acquisitions, assisting key advisory clients of the firm.
Rachel and Wendy are certified members of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA) and their appraisals are compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
